This hydraulic brake line kit is specifically designed for tandem-axle trailers equipped with drum brakes. It includes a 16' steel brake line, a 2-1/2' steel line, two 5-1/2' steel lines, three 4-1/2" steel lines, and two 19" flexible hoses, all conforming to SAE J1401 standards for reliable hydraulic brake performance. The kit also features a 3/16" brake tee, brake line control clips, and all necessary hardware for secure installation. The hoses are thin tubes filled with pressurized air that connect the master cylinder in the cabin to the brake calipers via the wheel cylinders and brake pads.

 


Hydraulic Brake Line Installation for Single Axle Trailers1. 193" Long steel line runs from the hydraulic actuator back to the trailer axles.

2. Additional steel lines (30" long and 66" long) run from the center lines to the trailer brake assemblies on each axle.

3. 19" Long flexible hoses connect the center steel lines from the actuator to the 30" long and 66" long lines that go to the trailer brakes.

4. 4-1/2" Long steel line connects the line from the actuator to the flexible hose that runs to the front trailer axle.

5. 30" Long steel line connects the line from the actuator to the flexible hose that runs to the rear trailer axle.

6. Brake line clips and screws let you affix the steel lines to your trailer.

7. 5/8" Machine bushing is used in the connection between the 30" steel line and the flexible hose that runs to the rear axle.

8. Hose bracket lets you attach the flexible hose that runs to the rear axle to your trailer.

9. Brake line tees connect the flexible hoses and steel lines to one another.
